Trewteo - Forum points? what are those...

I have just a question, because on every post there is under someone's name something like points. I just want to ask what do they mean? is it something like respect? or what is it?
And how does it work??

I'm not quite sure but I think it's some kind "active point" system. I was checking it and I found following texts:

- Gain per profile message: 3 points
- Gain per friend: 5 points
- Gain per day since registration: 10 points

And you gain 1 point for posting a message and 3 for making a thread. There is also "Rep" and "Thanks" avaible but we haven't used those that Point system was automatically ON. So yeah it should show which are the users who are active on this forums.
